Because of Hurricane Dorian, the 16th annual Caribbean Health Summit has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Camping World Stadium, 1 Citrus Bowl Place, Orlando, Florida. The doors will open at 8:00 am and the event runs until 2:00pm.

The event is free to the community and will provide health screenings and health information. Motivate yourself- Live Healthy" is the theme of this year's health summit, which emphasizes taking care of not only your body but your mind, and spirit as well. Health experts will attend the event and share important strategies to embrace your health through prevention of diseases; improving wellness and quality of life.

Health screenings will include Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) exams, Eye exams, Dental exams, Body Mass Index (BMI), Cholesterol, Glucose (blood sugar), Blood pressure, HIV/Syphilis, and Mental Health assessment. Flu shots will be available.

The Center for Multicultural Wellness and Prevention Inc. (CMWP) will host the summit in partnership with the Greater Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Orlando, Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce of Florida Inc., the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, Caribbean American Passport Magazine, Central Florida Medical Society, Haitian American Nurses Association, Owl, Inc. Transportation, and the Center for Change.
