Full job description

Central Florida based Pathology Group is currently looking for an experienced, board-certified, and licensed in State of Florida Dermatopathologist for our Orlando location. This is an excellent opportunity for pathologists with experience and strong diagnostic skills in the dermatopathology subspecialty.

Physician duties and responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Dermatopathology specimens and render insightful and comprehensive diagnoses to enable clinicians to best treat their patients
  • Takes the initiative to improve quality in the workplace,
  • Provide accurate and timely diagnosis,
  • Communicate with referring clinicians as needed,
  • Incorporate clinically pathological correlation in reports
  • Assist the national marketing and sales force in maintaining and expanding the referral physician base
  • Provide consultations for peer pathologists on cases as requested or needed
  • Maintain and comply with all Florida State and Federal law

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor with dermatopathology fellowship training
  • Board-Certification in Dermatopathology
  • Active State of Florida Medical license
  • Strong scientific skills in surgical pathology, particularly Dermatopathology
  • Ability to work independently as well communicate with the coworkers

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Demands:

  • High degree of care and attention to detail in the performance of clinical duties with strict adherence to defined clinical testing protocols,
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations,
  • Ability to learn internal software programs and Laboratory Information Systems for purposes of providing routine work,
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, purposeful environment,
  • Ability to Drive for Results: Service, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Goal Attainment,
  • Ability to effectively present ideas, findings, and document complex concepts in both written and oral communication.
  • Customer Service Focus: Demonstrate a focus on listening to and understanding client/customer needs and then exceeding service and quality expectations.
