Job Summary:
Winter Garden Surgery Center is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce images for procedure guidance under physician supervision. Additionally, the role involves ensuring radiation safety measures, assisting in quality assurance activities, and maintaining effective communication with patients and healthcare team members.

Skills, Education, Experience, and Requirements:

• Radiology safety training and CPR certification are mandatory.
• Preferably, candidates should possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in radiologic technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate radiologic equipment under direct physician supervision.
• Minimize staff and patient exposure to radiation by implementing necessary precautions.
• Assist in radiology quality assurance and improvement activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Set up procedure rooms including equipment and supplies.
• Participate in performance improvement data collection.
• Adhere to facility safety requirements and policies directed by the Governing Board.
• Practice radiation protection techniques and use personal protective equipment.
• Ensure safe operation of radiologic equipment.
• Clean equipment, stock procedure rooms, and troubleshoot equipment problems.

Working Conditions:
The working environment may vary based on assigned tasks and work area, potentially exposing individuals to factors such as biohazardous waste, blood-borne pathogens, communicable diseases, electrical shock, hot/cold temperatures, latex, patient care/handling injuries, and radiation.
