$124M expansion adds 159 new independent living residences

MOUNT DORA  – Waterman Village has opened its latest neighborhood, Lakeside at Waterman Village. The 37-acre expansion, which borders Lake Margaret, is located just a short golf cart ride away from Waterman Village’s main campus.

The grand opening was held on August 25 and featured entertainment by The Bobby Koelble Trio, light refreshments and tours of the new neighborhood. “Lakeside at Waterman Village really is something to celebrate,” says Waterman Village CEO/President Andrew Dujon. “As more and more seniors come to Mount Dora, we’re answering an important demand for an active, vibrant retirement option. This is a great way to kick off our fourth decade of service to our residents.”

Lakeside at Waterman Village, the newest neighborhood at Waterman Village, features a wide variety of stylish, comfortable and maintenance-free residences, many of which have lake views. Condo-style homes range in size from 836 to 1,801 square feet and feature either under-building or covered parking. Single-story detached villas range from 1,351 to 1,719 square feet and feature attached garages

Located inside the Lakeside Grand building, The Lifestyle Center is the amenity-filled hub of the community, featuring a state-of-the-art fitness center with exercise classes and personal training available, full-service waterfront restaurant “Savor” and a sports bar. Just outside is a stunning pool and spa, perfect for swimming laps, taking aquacise classes and socializing, as well as a picturesque walking path that circles Lake Margaret. Lakeside residents also have access to the full slate of amenities just across the bridge at Waterman Village, including lifetime access to exceptional on-site health services.

“Having the two campuses share amenities is a great way to give our residents more ways to stay active and, most importantly, more chances to develop meaningful, life-enriching relationships,” Dujon says.

Just minutes away is Mount Dora, Florida’s #1 small-town retirement destination. Its charming downtown is home to unique local merchants, delicious eateries as well as an almost endless string of very popular festivals. Orlando is less than an hour away, making it convenient for long-distance travel as well as enjoying the major attractions and big-city amenities it has to offer.
