TITUSVILLE — Our top priority is always the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, and employees. As we continue to monitor the coronavirus situation, we are revising our visitation policy to protect our community against the spread of respiratory illness, including COVID-19. The following policy is now in place:

Emergency Department Visitation

·         ER patients will be permitted one visitor at a time. Exceptions are being made for extenuating circumstances, such as end of life or unique patient needs. Masks are required for all visitors. Visitors who are unable to wear a mask due to medical or other reasons will need to use our video visitation option.

General Visitor Guidelines

·         Visitors to enter through the Main Lobby of the hospital and sign in.

·         Screen negative for COVID symptoms or new risk factors by the Screening Questionnaire.

·         Visitors must be 18 years of age or older.

·         A CDC recommended mask must be worn while in the building and must cover your nose and mouth. A mask will be provided if you do not have one. Visitors who are unable to wear a mask due to medical or other reasons will need to use our video visitation option.

·         Hand sanitize upon entering and leaving the facility and any patient room.

·         Maintain social distancing while in the facility.

·         Remain in the patient’s room during the visit.

Patients without suspected or active COVID:

·         May have one (1) visitor at a time.

·         No visitor under the age of 18 years old.

·         No time limit during visitor hours of 7:00am-8:00pm.

·         Exceptions include:

o   End-of-Life patients: two (2) visitors at a time.

o   Laboring and post-partum patients: two (2) visitors during the hospital stay.

·         Patients having outpatient procedure may have one (1) escort/partner-in-care.

Patients with suspected or active COVID:

·         No visitors are allowed. Video visitation is available upon request.

·         Exceptions include:

o   Pediatric patients (< 18 years of age): one (1) designated parent/legal guardian per day.

o   Laboring and post-partum patients: one (1) visitor/partner-in-care.

o   Patients with altered mental status who require a partner-in-care for support: one (1) visitor per day.

o   Hospice/end-of-life patients: permitted visitors at the discretion of the healthcare team.

o   Some areas of the hospital/healthcare setting may further enhance visitor protective measures depending upon the prevalence of COVID and other related considerations.

·         Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in loss of visitor privileges.
